Open-air museum

One of the largest and most comprehensive folk museums in Norway is located only a 10 minutes' walk from the centre of Molde.

In the Summer season (26.06.– 13.08.2023) we offer "Living museum" with activities and open houses every day. During the week of Moldejazz (week 29), we move our living museum to the Town Street "Bygata". The buildings are closed the rest of the year, but the park area is open.

On days with Cruise ships visiting Molde, we very often offer activities and guiding in the houses. In such cases we adjust our opening hours. See information here: CRUISE

Cruise ships usually offer a visit to our museum, so if you are planning to do a cruise or are already attending one, we recommend you check with your agent or information desk on board.

We can organise guided tours for groups of minimum 10 persons; send a request to post@romsdalsmuseet.no.
