Krona is open the whole year, but has extended opening hours during Summer.
Opening hours 2026:
06.01.-21.06.: Tuesday - Friday 11-16, Saturday-Sunday 12-16, closed Mondays
22.06.– 31.08.: Every day 11-16
01.09.-23.12.: Tuesday - Friday 11-16, Saturday-Sunday 12-16, closed Mondays
Christmas: 27., 28., 30.12.: 12-16

To enter the exhibitions you need to buy a ticket, either online or on site during opening hours.
When the open-air museum is open, the ticket is also valid there.
Open-air museumOne of the largest and most comprehensive folk museums in Norway is located only a 10 minutes' walk from the centre of Molde.
17.05. Norway's national day: Leikarringen (children's folk dance group) performs at 12 noon. Kiosk with coffee and ice cream 11am-1.30pm.

We have guides and many open houses. During the week of Moldejazz (13.-19.07.), we move our activities to the Town Street "Bygata".

The idyllic island of Hjertøya is a great recreational area where you can fish, go on a picnic, walk along guided paths or swim in the sea. At the Fisheries Museum you can get an insight into local coastal culture.
